Check out why is everybody talking about Dubrovnik and understand why are there so many people visiting it every day, escape to Cavtat to see it in the distance and enjoy a tranquil view of the old independent Republic, visit Šipan and Lopud where Ragusa's aristocracy had summer houses and where they escaped from the crowds. Enjoy Korčula, some call it small Dubrovnik, buy some good local wine and sail to Lastovo to have a real holiday, away from it all in a hidden harbour. By that time you may like to just give Dubrovnik another day, it deserves it.

The Roman amphitheatre in Pula makes you wonder again about the quality of Roman construction more than 2000 years ago, while its harbour, adjacent bays and Brijuni islands remind you of what nature at its best is capable of. In Mali Lošinj, Rab and Cres you will see typical small towns with their traditional and seducing way of life that many of us have forgotten if we ever had it. Poreč and Rovinj will show you the best of "Croatian Tuscany", sophistication to be enjoyed by many visitors and two wonderful churches to match the best anywhere. And before you leave Pula buy some truffles, many people come to Istria only to taste them.
